My Makeup Wishlist!

Bonjour lovelies!

I was this kind of post on NikkiTutorials website and from there I seriously thought about all of the makeup I really want but can't afford (broke student problems!). Here comes the list...

  • More Nars blushes - I already have a few; Orgasm, Coeur Battant, Cactus Flower and Taj Mahal but I have my eye on Sin and a few others.
  •  Mac Posey Cream Blush - I seen this in Mac a few weeks ago and I knew that I wanted this but Becca wouldn't let me...
  •  Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blushes - I've heard lots about these blushes and I was unsure whether I would like them or not but when I was them in makeup tutorials being used I wanted them!
  •  Tarte Blushes - Tarte isn't available in the UK and I always see these blushes and get jealous!
  • More Mac pigments - I already have Vanilla, Melon, Cornflower (discontinued) and Rose but I want more! You can never have enough pigments...
  •  Artist of Makeup Eyeshadows - I have a few eyeshadows (Blake Smoke, Figtorious and Bella) and they are very pigmented so of course I'd want more!
And now for some more affordable products that I'm desperate for!

  • Kiko Makeup - Kiko isn't available in stores in the Scotland and I know I can buy it online but I'd like to see the products in person before purchasing.
  •  NYX round lipsticks - NYX is available in the UK in Next stores but the full range isn't there. I checked a few days ago and only the matte lipsticks were available so online will have to do :(
  • NYX blushes - a limited range of blushes are available in the UK and I have a few already (Mauve, Taupe and Peach) but I've had my eye on Cinnamon for a while but it isn't available in stores.
That's the end of my wish list so far! If I have more products I want I'll add them. I don't know when I'll buy all of these products... My birthday is next month so I might ask for a few of these products as gifts! What is on you wish list? And why would you like it so much?

Stand Out Sunday - Mac Mulch eyeshadow

Bonjour lovelies!

I like the concept of having a stand out product to rave about and why not do it on a Sunday where I've had the whole week to use it if it is a new product. I don't think I will do this every Sunday but whenever I have a product I really want to share with you all then I will post it on a Sunday.

This week is Mac Mulch eyeshadow. I bought this in duty free back in September when I was filling up my neutrals palette and convincing myself that shopping in duty free means that I am not spending  as much money as I normally would (even though I bought more than I normally would!) and Mulch was a shadow I got for the sake of buying because I'd heard of it from watching Pixiwoo. Now, every time I go into Mac and look at eyeshadows I find myself constantly picking up Mulch to buy but then realising that I already have it!

It is a gorgeous shimmery dark taupe coloured eyeshadow. It isn't too shimmery so I like to wear it all over the lid and if I feel like it, I will out something in the crease but I normally don't. It is perfect for everyday wear if you like to wear slightly darker eyeshadows over the lid and it is so easy to work with as it makes an impact all over the lid alone with some eyeliner and mascara. I'm sure I've skipped the eyeliner (very unlike me!) and just worn it with mascara.

I've got some pictured saved but my ipad has this thing against me uploading pics so I will post them on my Instagram account and post them here when I can!

Hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you like these types of blog posts. What are your stand out products this week? Let me know in the comments!

Mulch can be purchased HERE or at your local Mac counter

March Favourite and Disappointments!

Bonjour lovelies!

I know I'm about 5 days late but I never do anything on time! So I'm just going to go straight into the March favourites and disappointments post.

Favourites

NYX blushes in Peach and Taupe - by no means in Peach a peach colour but nonetheless it's one of the most beautiful matte pink blushes that I own. Taupe is just the perfect contour colour which has taken over Mac Harmony blush that I previously used. Applied with a Real Techniques contour brush, it just gives a subtle contour which still makes cheekbones look very defined and amazing!

Urban Decay Naked Palette - the very first Naked palette has been and will always be my favourite out of the 3 palettes. On a daily basis, I either use Smog all over the lid or Naked all over the lid with Buck in the crease. I can't say enough good things about this palette! I normally use an Elf crease brush to apply the eyeshadows, using the primer potion under it.

NYX lip liners - I've got the lip liners in Nude, Orange, Pinky and Red which I bought in Turkey when I went on holiday and before NYX was available in stores in the UK. I've yet to use Red but Nude and Eva's nude lipstick for L'Oreal are a perfect match, Orange with Mac Morange lipglass and Pinky with Mac Speed Dial Lipstick is one of my favourite combinations.

Rimmel Scandaleyes pen eyeliner - OMG this does not smudge! My eyes get really badly watery when there's cold air and Scotland is forever cold and this eyeliner hasn't run at all. I've tested loads of eyeliners in the past and this one has outdone them all and best of all, it isn't that expensive.

Mac Vanilla & Melon pigments - Vanilla was recommended to me by a friend at uni and I've been in 2 minds over this pigment for months. I honestly don't know why because when I bought the pigment I've been using it constantly. Melon is a gorgeous rose-gold colour and I don't use this as much as Vanilla but when I do, I really like how it looks.

Disappointments

Body Shop Peach body wash - I love the entire peach range, especially the body butter and exfoliatior but this body wash broke my skin out so much! I have a feeling the body lotion broke me out too so ill stop using this.

L'Oreal Micellar water - I really enjoyed using this Micellar water but when I looked in the mirror, all I could see was a white residue left on my face which I wasn't impressed about. I'm trying the Garnier one at the moment too and it seems to be working better then the L'Oreal one.

Hope yous enjoyed reading my favourites and disappointments for the month of March! I really enjoy watching these kinds of videos so I think I'll be doing this regularly as I really enjoyed writing up this post!
